The fully blooming flowers also symbolized Kobe’s success, his record of winning three championships in No. 8 (purple) and two championships in No. 24 (yellow). Even though the “Mamba" has one less championship than Jordan's six (depicted with the top left flower bud that’s not fully bloomed) resilience is the willingness to not quit, and to stay determined to make a difference.
